The ASPIRE Program is an integrated Family Literacy Program geared toward Migrant Families who have at least one child between the ages of 0-7 years old.
The four components of Family Literacy are:
- Early Childhood Education
- Adult Education (ESOL, GED, Basic Adult Education, Life and Work Skills)
- Parenting Education
- Interactive Literacy Activities between parents and children
The Wimauma ASPIRE program, a Migrant Education Even Start Program, is unique in that it caters to families where both the husband and wife are employed. To accommodate these working families, all the adult and interactive activities take place in the evening and on some weekends. Preschool children are enrolled in an RCMA child care center where they receive quality early childhood education services during the day.
